THE CLIENT’S NEED
At a beverage manufacturing plant located in Manaus, in the Manaus Free Trade Zone in the state of Amazonas, industrial wastewater treatment was facing a silent bottleneck. pH control and the separation of suspended solids depended on hydrated lime dosing, but the process was carried out manually and with low precision. The client was looking for a solution that would optimize the dosing process, reduce manual intervention, and increase the operational reliability of the wastewater treatment plant.
GIGWATER designed two systems tailored to the realities of the beverage industry in Manaus: a Semi-Automatic Hydrated Lime Dosing System and a Chlorine Dosing Skid. The system was developed around three main attributes: compact design, operational efficiency, and ease of installation.
The core of the solution is dosing precision. The semi-automatic system controls the stages of hydrated lime preparation and its feeding into the effluent, drastically reducing the variability introduced by manual operation. The operator still maintains control over the process, but the dosing itself is carried out in a standardized and repeatable manner.

THE RESULTS ACHIEVED
The implementation of the semi-automatic dosing system brought direct and measurable gains to the treatment process at the beverage industry in Manaus.
GREATER EFFICIENCY IN pH CORRECTION
REDUCTION IN OPERATIONAL FAILURES
REMOVAL OF SUSPENDED SOLIDS
REDUCTION IN INPUT CONSUMPTION
